Getting Started with the Cookie Consent Banner Plugin

Overview

TWDH Cookie Consent Banner adds a customizable, GDPR-friendly notice to your site that records visitor consent. It stores consent status in a browser cookie so the banner only appears once per visitor (by default, 30 days).

Installation

1. Download the ZIP from the plugin page.
2. Go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, upload, and activate.

Configuration

1. Go to Settings → Cookie Consent.
2. Set your banner message (e.g., "We use cookies to improve your experience.").
3. Set the Accept and Decline button labels.
4. Add your Privacy Policy URL for the policy link.
5. Choose banner position: top or bottom.
6. Set your banner and button colors using the color pickers.
7. Set consent duration in days (default: 30).
8. Save — the banner appears on the front end for all new visitors.
