WordPress Pluginsโ˜… Featured Apr 15, 2026 12 views

Overview

TWDH Maintenance Mode lets you take your site offline for visitors while you work, showing a customizable splash page. Logged-in admins and editors always see the live site.

Installation

  1. Download the ZIP from the plugin page.
  2. Go to Plugins โ†’ Add New โ†’ Upload Plugin, upload, and activate.

Enabling Maintenance Mode

  1. Go to Settings โ†’ Maintenance Mode.
  2. Toggle Enable Maintenance Mode to ON.
  3. Customize your headline, message text, and sub-text.
  4. Optionally upload a background image or set a background color.
  5. Save. Visitors to your site will immediately see the maintenance page.

Important

The plugin sends a 503 HTTP status code to search engines, signaling temporary downtime so your SEO rankings are not penalized. Always disable maintenance mode as soon as your work is complete.
